Quick update

I seriously haven been posting pics...just been rambling on and on...ok i'm gonna ramble more and more now anw...Just some quick updates on my life here

1) Went for the HOSTUK programme over a weekend. It's a homestay programme with a British family in the town of New Mills in the Peak District. A completely different experience to travelling and just taking out the weekend to chill with this really nice family as well as other townsfolk

2) Skipped classes to head up to Scotland, which included Edinburgh, Isle of Skye, Loch Ness, as well as other spots along the highway. Liked the whole highlands atmosphere...even more distinct than the one along the Antrim route in Northern Ireland...anw guess some of my friends wld have received my Scotland postcards by now..

3) Trip down to London for a bit of shopping...bought myself a huge backpack...FYI...my previous backpack got seriously manhandled in a way tt it has the following damages:

a) Shoulder strap of bag broke.....first strap came off even b4 I came for this SEP at the airport...the second strap just gave way halfway during the Easter trip.

b) As a result, the back support plates stick out halfway such that they look like ninja blades on me when carrying the bag arnd

c) Large gaping hole at the side of the bag

d) Detachable mini-bag totally ripped off from the main compartment....manhandled by the airport personnel at Berlin....at the start of the Easter trip, but it now serves as a handy day pack..

Yup...tt's abt the extent of dmg my bag sustained throughout my journey...not pretty eh :p
Other stuff I bought in London included sandals...Weather's almost like in S'pore...yet to buy summer clothes though....wld do it in Loughborough where it's cheaper...

4) Trip to Windsor Castle in Windsor from London..famous castle still being used by the royals for functions and diplomatic events...a tad bit too touristy though....

5) Crazy! 3 coursework handed out within an hour for Chem Eng and Soc...now i gotta sit down and plan...and the best part is my group members expect me to lead the way in discussions...all either too bo chup or end up completely smashed by booze to care...wth...me just looking to pass only sia....

7) Backstreet Boys concert....u heard it correct....got convinced by my "sista" to head down to London this upcoming Wednesday for the concert.....when i told this to Giuseppe he gave me tt WTF look....anw never attended a concert b4 (not too crazy for any 1 artiste) but just wanted to see wat it's like overseas...it's held in the O2 arena anw...sounds pretty cool.....so we shall see...yea...i know....sounds quite WTF

8) Exam timetable finally out...on the glorious 3, 16 and 19 Jun...In between planning to take the time to travel to Amsterdam, Brussels, Ghent, Bruges and Luxembourg on my own...kinda looking forward to this cos it's my first trip all by myself...no travel companions watsoever...

9) Went for this May Bank holiday funfair....interesting cos they served out booze and they had a real ferris wheel ride installed in the middle of the Union...imagine NUS bazaars but added with groups of ppl drinking making merry and having their picnic arnd the place and this huge "Loughborough Eye" attraction sticking out....
