Finally sat down to blog abt this...boy i realli enjoyed this trip to Ireland. It was something we booked a few months ago before coming to Loughborough, so it was a very random thing. Had no idea where Belfast was when my roomie proposed the idea of going, but the tickets were cheap...so wat the heck
Arrival by bus to the East Midlands Airport
To Belfast
Never had the chance to walk out in the open to board the plane so was pretty excited to do tt for the first time....it was damn windy...
Belfast City Hall
The Belfast Wheel....Seems like every city must have an eye or wheel of some sorts. Personally felt tt it sorts of ruins the background of the city hall landscape...
Can you spot wat's wrong with this photo?
Yeah....tt's so wrong....give the soldier a bit of respect la!
Front view of Belfast City Hall
Statue of Queen Victoria in front of the City Hall
Long live the queen!
Putting our feet together....oh dun mind the pink dollie in the midst.....it's my roomie's....he brings it arnd cos it symbolises his gf......watever............super dotz
Lebanese food for dinner....Meat meat!!! One of the most satisfying meals thus far.
Jared, Me and Yi Si
Belfast Wheel by night
Waterfront Hall....a place where concerts and conferences are held. The place reminds me abit of VivoCity and Harbour City in HK. Cos it's situated so close to the waterfront with glass windows and a shopping area.
Queen's Bridge over the River Lagan
Sheeping arnd in front of the Waterfront Hall
This is super LOL.....i din know how the photo was taken....but for tt split moment i somehow went into super fast-mo sheep riding mode...hahaha
Pondering our future over the Queen's Bridge....so serious sia....
An interesting law enforced over here in Ireland
The Linen House Hostel, our accomodation for the night. Funny thing was that we had to check in at the main hostel and then take a 20min walk to the other side of the city for our rooms. Was kinda skeptical at first cos the reviews online were not very favourable. (but it was cheap!) However was surprised cos it did not turn out to be so bad after all. Took the 6 bed dorm with my roomie away from the other exchange students. Was kinda interesting cos there was another American black who shared the room and her life story with us. Was even more bemused during the night, there was a couple who returned to our dorm and the next morning i saw them sleeping in the same bed....bet they were making out right under our very noses...hahaha
Did not spend too much time in Belfast itself cos we arrived in the afternoon. Anw Belfast is like any other English city...though it's alot more peaceful now....the only thing we missed were the political murals along Shankill Road...but to go there at night is just asking for trouble...oh well....
More surprises would await us instead on the next day.
